Canton – Caroline S. (Ellis) Roberts, age 94, passed away on Thursday March 21, 2024, at Pinnacle Residential Care with her loving family by her side. She was born December 16, 1929, in Jay, the daughter of Harry and Lucy (Kennedy) Ellis. Caroline was the oldest of 3 children. She had step brothers and sisters, and one half sister. After graduating from the local school system, she went on to a business school.

Caroline worked as a CNA for most of her life, and was known to many as the saint, for her care and compassion.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her loving family and friends. She loved roses and wildflowers.

She was predeceased by her husbands, William Savage, Sr., and William Roberts; her loving parents; and all her siblings.

She is survived by her loving children, William Savage, Jr. and his wife Cheryl, Stacey Roberts and his wife Katie, Penny Johnson and her husband Joseph, and Patti Bryant and her husband Stephen. Along with 24 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 20 great-great grandchildren.

The family will greet family and friends on Saturday March 30, 2024, from 10:00 am – 12:30 pm at Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 45 Main Street, South Paris, followed by funeral services at 12:30 pm, at South Paris Baptist Church, 1 Park St, South Paris.
