Lynda Edythe Camsell
<p>Lynda Edythe Camsell, 76, of Haileybury, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2024, with family by her side.</p><p><br></p><p>Daughter of the late Edythe and Charles Camsell. She is survived by her three children, Jodie, Stephanie (Richard), Laurie (Claude), sisters Janet Potter and Barbara Camsell Willard, and brother Charlie Camsell (Lonni). Affectionately known to her grandchildren Ethan and McKenna as Nanny and Auntie Lynne to many nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>A long-time nurse and personal care worker, Lynda was also an accomplished golfer at both the Haileybury and Mattawa Golf Clubs, with club championships and many tournaments won, and even a hole-in-one. Her pitching arm led to many champion seasons with the Mattawa House ladies’ Slo-Pitch team. As an avid curler for many years, she could regularly be found at the Mattawa and Haileybury Curling Clubs.</p><p><br></p><p>Special thanks to the amazing staff at Health Sciences North, especially her nurses Joanne, Stephanie and Jolene, who provided the utmost compassion and care during her last days.</p><p><br></p><p>A celebration of life will be held at the Haileybury Golf Club on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, from 2 - 4 pm. </p><p><br></p><p>As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.
