Chester John Belsky

<p>Chester J. Belsky, 86, of Upper Hanover Township, passed away at home, peacefully, on Sunday, March 24, 2024. He was the husband of Patricia (Brady) Belsky. They celebrated their 62nd anniversary in February. Raised in Edwardsville, PA, he was a son of the late Chester and Alice (Plonski) Belsky. He was a 1954 graduate of Lake Lehman High School in Dallas, PA, and a 1960 graduate of Bucknell University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He served his country honorably in the Navy Reserves. He worked for many companies, including SKF, Photolastic, Ford Motor Company, Leeds &amp; Northrup, Hollingsworth, Gas Springs, and Bethlehem Steel. However, he is best known in the Upper Perkiomen Valley as the former owner of the local Radio Shack in Pennsburg during the 1980’s and 90’s. He was active in the local community and tutored at St. Phillip Neri School in East Greenville. He was member of the Upper Perkiomen Lions Club, a Fourth Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus, Local 6614, Archbishop Fulton Sheen Assembly #3046, and an active parishioner of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Pennsburg.</p><p><br></p><p> Along with his wife, Patricia, he is survived by his children, Ann Stockton and her life partner, Harry, of the US Virgin Islands, Alina Lockhoff and her fiancée, Joe, of Salisbury Township, Alec and his wife, Jen, of Germantown, MD, and Marie Belsky, of Bally, PA; 16 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; his brother, Walter; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Alice Belsky Solinsky.</p><p><br></p><p> All are invited to gather with his family on Thursday, April 4th from 9:30 – 10:45 am with a Funeral Mass at 11 am in St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church 1325 Klinerd Rd., Pennsburg, PA. Following the mass, he will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg. </p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to The Open Link, 455 Penn St., Pennsburg, PA 18073, or St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church.
