<p>Rosalie C. Carter, age 81, of McKeesport, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on March 24, 2024.&nbsp; Born July 5, 1942, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Louis J. and Vida M. (Laughner) Canova and wife of the late Duane H. Carter, Sr. </p><p>Rosalie was a beloved member of the Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Patrick Church, where she dedicated her life to serving her community as an active member of the Christian Mothers, a Eucharistic Minister, and a devoted teacher of Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults classes. </p><p>She was not only a devout member of her parish but also the pillar of her family.&nbsp; As the family matriarch, she selflessly cared for her parents, in-laws, and children, while also playing an instrumental role in raising and nurturing her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.&nbsp; Her love and compassion knew no bounds, and her presence brought light and warmth to all who knew her.&nbsp; Her legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of all those she touched. </p><p>Rosalie is survived by her children, Duane Jr. (Kathy) Carter, April (Robyn) Morgan, and Lisa Sokolowski; grandchildren, Jennifer (Richard) Grech, Brittany (Matthew) Coyne,&nbsp; Lindsey Carter, Autumn Tessler, Michael (Brianna) Sokolowski, and Carly Sokolowski; great-grandchildren, Mirabella and Breya Coyne, Henry, Hanna, Charlie, and Isabella Grech; a brother, Louis (Janet) Canova.&nbsp; A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at St. Patrick Church at 1:30 p.m.&nbsp; Everyone is asked to please meet at the church.&nbsp; Arrangements entrusted to Willig Funeral Home &amp; Crematory.&nbsp; Condolences and memories may be shared at www.willigfuneralcremationservices.com.<br> Charles Danforth, Supervisor </p>
