<p>Ronnie Wayne Luke, 70, of Checotah, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the St. Francis Hospital. Ronnie was born on June 11, 1953, in Checotah, Oklahoma the son of Charles and Wilma (Cantwell) Luke. He graduated from Checotah High School in 1971. Ronnie married the love of his life, Catherine Neal in June of 1973 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. They then had 2 daughters Crystal Gail and Katharina Michelle along with one son, Joseph Charles (Chase). </p><p>Ronnie worked at ACME Engineering for several years, he then helped his brother Harold drive a semi across country. He drove a cement truck for several years as well. Ronnie worked for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation for 10 years. He and Cathy along with his sister, Kathryn and her husband bought D &amp; L Snack Shack in 1978. They ran it for 11 years. Ronnie then owned and operated Luke's Trucking for a few years. Ronnie and his wife ran Luke's Handi Mart in Henryetta for 3 years. He was a member of the Checotah Round Up Club, he put on ropings there. He then built his own arena at their house. </p><p>After finally retiring, he stayed at home with foster children where they were blessed to gain 2 more children, Russell and Felicity Edmonds. Ronnie especially loved hunting and fishing in all his free time with his first grandson Kamin and his buddies Danny Rosson and Matt Kowals. He had other very close friends, Randy Randleman, Jose McCoy, and Larry Caviness that he thought very highly of. If he wasn't hunting and fishing, he loved spending any and all spare time with his children, grandchildren and Great grandchild. On March 14, 2024, Ronnie was baptized into Christ by Johnny Buckmaster and Doug Madewell as he requested. </p><p>Survivors include his wife, Cathy, of the home; daughters, Crystal Luke of Morris, Oklahoma, Michelle Cooper and Felicity Edmonds both of Checotah, Oklahoma; his sons Chase Isaac and wife Ciara of Coweta, Oklahoma and Russell Edmonds of Checotah, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Kamin Cooper and fiance Breaunna Smith, Katelyn Cooper all of Checotah, Oklahoma, Rhett and Wrenly Jo Isaac of Coweta, Oklahoma; and great grandchild, his little buddy, Zaylen Cooper of Checotah, Oklahoma. Ronnie is also survived by his brother Donald Luke and wife Ruby of Checotah, Oklahoma; brother in laws Glen Neal and wife Kathy, Billy Neal and wife Barbara all of Eufaula, Oklahoma and a host of extended family and friends. </p><p>Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Wilma Luke, sisters Bernice Rock and husband Charlie, Kathryn Duke and husband Houston, brothers Harold Luke and wife Mary Jo, Bobby Luke and nephew Dale Luke, father and mother in law, Bill and Katharina (Kathe) Neal. </p><p>Visitation for Ronnie will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 4-6 p.m. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the Hunn Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Curtis Hartshorn officiating.
