Cheryl Gifford 49 of Marion was relieved of her pain on March 22, 2024.  She was born October 27, 1974, to Rick Marshall and Joann Heck (Larry) in Marion, Indiana.  For many years she worked as a donut fryer for Marsh supermarkets.  She enjoyed cooking meals and especially baking goodies for family and friends. She also liked watching Hallmark Christmas movies and shopping at the dollar stores.

She is survived by her dog  Scooter, husband Jeff Banter, Mother Joann, step-father Larry Heck, Sister Norma Huron(Jeremy), step-sister Leia (Jeremy) Waite; step-brother Lonnie (Sarah) Heck, father-in-law Glen Banter, sister-in-law Amanda Banter; nephew Christopher Huron who was like a son to her along with several additional nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Rick Marshall; mother-in-law Patricia; and grandparents Nellie and John Cooper and Pat and Roy Heck.

The family would like to thank the staff of Ascension St. Vincents Hospital and Compassus Hospice for providing care for her and her family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953 where visitation will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. with a funeral following with Pastor Kaleb Wakeman officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.  Online memories and condolences may be made at www.armeshuntfuneralhome.com
