Warner Robins, GA – Dovie Mae (Daniel) West, 94, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at her home. Services celebrating her life will be Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 11:00 am at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel. The visitation will be held an hour prior. The interment will be held at Georgia Military Cemetery in Milledgeville, GA. Reverend Tyler Winn will be officiating.

Dovie was born on August 12, 1929, in Laurens County, GA to the late Nathaniel Daniel and Effie (Benford) Daniel. She was a devoted and loving homemaker to her family. She was married to the love of her life, Druey Thomas West, Sr for 63 years before he went to be with the Lord. Dovie enjoyed gardening her flowers and vegetables, cooking for her family, and going to her Church. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dovie was preceded in death by her four brothers and four sisters.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved son: Tom West, Jr. (Judy); grandchildren: Dronda Harvil and Leanna Williams (Scott); step grandson: Jamie Hamlin (Karin); step granddaughter: Ansley Hamlin; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to the Antebellum Grove Assisted Livings ladies and Heart of GA Hospice for all they did for Ms. Dovie.
