<p>Christopher Van Petten was born in Takoma Park, MD in June of 1948 to his late parents Louis and Barbara Van Petten. He grew up in Damascus, MD. He is survived by his wife Mary Van Petten of 25 years; daughter Anne Cover; grandchildren Isaiah, Amy, Melanie, and Madison; sisters Sue Z. Van Petten, of Prescott, AZ, and Mary Beth Shaub, of North Potomac, MD; Step-brothers Douglas Woodfield&nbsp;from Tom’s River, NJ, and the late&nbsp;Bruce Woodfield. Christopher is also survived by many loving friends and relatives.</p><p>He was a graduate of Somerville, NJ High School, and became a technician at Atlantic Telephone, and then later Booz Allen. Christopher was a member of The Eagles #3509, the Moose Lodge #1540, and Sons of the American Legion Post 295. He loved the Washington Capitals, and the Washington Redskins, westerns, beer, Laurel and Hardy, Harley Davidson riding, and his cats, Missy and Laurie.</p>

Christopher is also survived by many loving friends and relatives.
