<p>With deep heartfelt sadness, our beautiful Mother passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18th 2024, at the age of 89, at the Age Care Brant Centre in Burlington, Ontario. Her extremely dedicated eldest daughter Diane was by her side, as she often was. Mary Ann was an extremely strong woman and suffered from the debilitating heartless disease of Dementia.</p><p><br></p><p>Mom will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Dan (Gail), daughters Diane (Kevin), Donna (Robert) and son David (Peggy). Mary Ann was an adoring Gramma to her 12 grandchildren and Great Gramma (GG Ma) to 18 great grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>Mary Ann was born on October 23rd in Windsor, Ontario and predeceased by her parents Clifford and Dorothy Lonnee as well as her brothers Richard and Timothy. She is survived by her sister in law, Sylvia Lonnee.</p><p><br></p><p>Mary Ann's family were her pride and joy. When she wasn't spending time with them she enjoyed knitting, singing in various Windsor choirs, including Westminster United Church and baking. It was here, at church, where she met a dear friend Beth. She and Beth spent many great times together. Mary Ann was also involved in many different volunteer groups at this church, which she loved immensely, prior to her move to Burlington in 2015. She was always helping others, this didn't change when she resided at the Brant Centre. Mary Ann was always joking around and loved a good prank. It brought her so much joy to make others laugh. She enjoyed her daily walks and loved nature. She had the most amazing house plants, a gal with a green thumb for sure. Ice cream, Mary Ann loved ice cream. You would often hear her say, "Try to not look and lick", while enjoying a cone together. She had a very special love for animals, especially dogs. She seemed to have a natural way with them and always had fun stories to tell. Mary Ann was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.</p><p><br></p><p>We would like to thank the Brant Centre for all the support and care throughout the years our Mother was there. Special thanks to the PSW's , RPN's, RN's on Spencer Creek and Aldershot home areas for all their kindness and care.</p><p>Heartfelt thanks to Dr. T. Harricharan for your patience, kindness, care, guidance and understanding allowing us to advocate for our Mother. We are very grateful.</p><p><br></p><p>Cremation has taken place and a private family interment at Mount Hamilton Cemetery will take place at a later date.</p><p><br></p><p>In memory of Mary Ann a donation can be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
