<p>Naugatuck, CT Francesanne (Tully) Haywood, 77, loving wife of William Haywood, died unexpectedly on March 23, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital with family by her side.</p><p><br></p><p>Frances was born August 21, 1946 in Waterbury, CT a daughter of the late James Edward and Frances Cecilia (Smegelski) Tully and had lived in Naugatuck all of her life. She graduated from Naugatuck High School and St. Mary’s School of Nursing and worked for many years as a registered nurse and was also a long time teacher at Buttons and Bows, retiring in 2020. </p><p><br></p><p>Loving and caring for her family was her number one priority up until her very last moments. Her greatest joys were spending time with her husband, the love of her life for 56 years; her seven grandchildren and her new great granddaughter. She loved making memories on Cape Cod, long drives on Sundays and celebrating holidays with big family dinners. She was the happiest when everyone went home with leftovers. Above all, she was a proud and devoted mother to her four children. </p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her husband Bill, Frances is survived by her children, son Daniel Haywood; son and daughter in law, David and Tammy Haywood and their children, Naomi, Adam, Sierra and Katrina; son and daughter in law, Tully and Stephanie Haywood and their children, Miranda and William; daughter and son in law, Megan and Matthew Bernardini and their son, Ryan; her brother and sister in law, James Tully, Jr. and Bonnie Tully and their daughter, Kate Naito. In addition to her parents, Frances was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Tully. </p><p><br></p><p>A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Everyone attending Mass is kindly asked to please meet directly at church. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers and to honor Frances’s memory donations are requested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or at www.stjude.org.</p>
