After a courageous battle shortly after his 80th birthday Fortunato passed away peacefully on March 23, 2024. Beloved husband of Diamante. Devoted father of Roberto (Angela) and Emidio (Angela Perrotta). Cherished Nonno of Jessica, Carina, Adam, and Maria. Born in Italy, Fortunato embarked on an extraordinary journey, immigrating to Canada with his newlywed wife Diamante. Together, they dedicated themselves to forging a new life and providing for their future family in their adopted country. He will be profoundly missed by his spouse, children, daughters-in-law, and four grandchildren, as well as the numerous close friendships he cultivated throughout his lifetime. Family and friends will be received at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage Ave. (between Mohawk and Fennell) on Tuesday March 26th 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church on Wednesday March 27th 2024 at 12 p.m. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery.
