Larry Dean Reinier, 89, of Ottumwa, went to be with his Lord and Savior March 23, 2024.

He was born June 14, 1934 in Davis County to Lowell and Reva McCordell Reinier. He married Willa Mae Rogers July 25, 1953 and she preceded him in death June 29, 2021.

Larry worked for Norris Construction, retiring as plant operator after 40 years. He then operated his own trucking service, transporting for Cargil Meat Solutions and Junkins, retiring in 2011.

He was a member of North Court Baptist Church where he had served as a trustee and deacon.

Surviving are his children, Stacy Jo Gray and Brian Reinier both of Ottumwa; 2 granddaughters, Emily Reinier and Stephanie Reinier (fiancé, Anthony Howard); 3 great-grandchildren, Tieler, Dean and Hazel; a sister, Sharon (Gaylord) Beauchamp of Wiota, IA; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Sue Reinier; brothers, Lowell Reinier Jr., Robert Reinier and Michael Reinier; sister, Beverly Spurgeon; and a son-in-law, Paul Gray.

Visitation will be open after 10 a.m. Thursday, March 28th at Reece Funeral Home with his family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 29th at North Court Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Hemmings officiating. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Court Baptist Church.
