Laveta Anne Williams

Laveta Anne Williams of Quapaw, OK passed from this life Saturday, March 23, 2024 at her home.  She was 73.

Laveta was born January 10, 1951 in Lincolnville, OK to Thomas Richard and Lavada Marie (Wood) Power.  She had lived in the Picher and Quapaw area all her life.  

She was manager of Dollar General in Miami and also worked for Sew-Rite, Glen Berry Garment Manufacturing and Outdoor Cap.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Larry Richard Power.

Laveta is survived by her husband, Rollie Williams of the home, 3 daughters, Terri Adams and her husband Richard of Columbus, KS, Tammy Forcum and her husband Doug of Baxter Springs, KS and Toni Rhine of the home, 1 sister, Mary McCarty of Commerce, OK, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2024 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, OK with Rev. Ed Williams officiating.  Interment will follow in G.A.R. Cemetery of Miami, OK with Doug Forcum, Kevin Faulkner, Jake Hamilton, Cody Womack, Jared Bowin and Bradley Tolbert serving as pallbearers.  Richard Adams, Ron Costlow and Orland Aldridge will serve as honorary pallbearers.  The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami.  Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.  Online condolences may be made at www.paulthomasfuneralhomes.com.
