<p>Raymond Joseph Glenn, age 87, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Brooke Grove nursing home in Olney, Maryland. </p><p>He was born in 1936 in Baltimore City, one of 10 children by Charles and Gertrude (nee Farley) Glenn. He is survived by his sister Kathleen Horn in Florida. His family moved to Mt. Airy, Maryland when he was in elementary school. There he met Rose Marie Warfield, who he married after completing a tour of duty in the Air Force. Raymond went to the University of Maryland for a bachelor’s degree and Johns Hopkins University for a master’s degree. He taught high school social studies for 31 years at Glenelg, Woodlawn, Randallstown, and Pikesville. </p><p>Raymond enjoyed gardening and cutting down trees on his Howard County property. He and Rose Marie were together for 61 years, until she passed away in February 2020. They are survived by their three children, Jenny, Carole Glenn Murphy, and Raymond. </p><p>&nbsp;** A memorial fellowship service will be held at Jennings Chapel United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 13 at noon.
