Ernest Kenton Tucker Obituary

Ernest Kenton Tucker, husband of Barbara Smith Tucker, of Lexington, Kentucky, departed this life peacefully, on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Ernest was born in Mason County on September 8, 1935, the son of the late William and Mabel Pugh Tucker. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, a tax professional and Financial Officer at Second National Bank, where he served his community faithfully, before retiring after thirty-five years. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed golf, fishing, and hunting. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Harry Larkin Tucker, William Robert Tucker, Waetta Morris, Anna Puckett, Muller Grant, as well as two sons-in-law, Joe Mercurio, and Rod Garrison.

Along with his wife, Barbara, he is survived by two daughters, Tonya Tucker & Michelle Garrison; grandchildren, Justin (Trisha) McDade, Joshua McDade, Jonathan (Jessica) Bonham, and Brittany (Sean) Gneuhs. Also surviving are his great grandchildren, Kollyn McDade, Logan McDade, Roxane McDade, Camden Bonham, Parker Bonham, Elliott Gneuhs, and Ian Gneuhs.

Visitation for Ernest Kenton Tucker will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, with funeral to begin at 12 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Dedman officiating. Immediately followed by interment at Paris Cemetery with casket bearers being Justin McDade, Joshua McDade, Jonathan Bonham, Sean Gneuhs, Jeff Tucker, and Justin Tucker.
