Lucilda A. Brown, 73, of Manchester and formerly Brooklyn, New York, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, March 24, 2024. Daughter of the late Henry and Melvina (Williamson) Harriage, Lucilda was born in Tydixon, Jamaica on February 9, 1951.

Mom was loving and caring to all of children, she was loved by all her brothers, sisters, and all her nieces and nephews. After spending much of her life in Jamaica with her former husband Ezra Brown raising their children, Lucilda decided to move to the United States, for a little lifestyle change, where she resided in Brooklyn, New York with her older cousin Lurline Shand. She enjoyed cooking, going to church and spending time with her grandchildren in her down time.

Lucilda survived her 8 children Diana Roberts, Deneise Brown, Otis Brown, Cassandra Brown, Velma Brown, Stacey Brown, Oral Brown and Sheena Brown; 23 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 11 brothers and sisters and many others including all her nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 19th, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Center Congregational Church, 11 Center Street, Manchester. A calling hour will be held an hour prior from 10-11 a.m. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Glastonbury.
