Mark Anthony Shepard, 57, of Van Buren, Arkansas passed away peacefully on Saturday March 23, 2024. Mark was of the Pentecostal faith and loved watching sports. Mark’s favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and Arkansas Razorbacks. Mark was born October 19, 1966 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to the late Henry and Kay (Self) Shepard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Kay Shepard; and son, Charles Shepard.

Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday March 27, 2024 at Locke Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. Pallbearers will be Brayden Shepard, Haiden Crain, Charles Brumley, Michael Hoodenpyle, David Hoodenpyle, Josh Shepard, Michael Shepard Jr., and Mitchell Weaver. Honorary pallbearers will be Gunner Shepard and Mark’s nieces and nephews. Services are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

Mark is survived by his wife of 38 years, Tammy (Brumley) Shepard; son, Tony Shepard and wife Cassandra of Van Buren, AR; grandchildren, Brayden Shepard, Gunner Shepard, Haiden Crain, Memphis Crain; brother, Henry Shepard Jr. and wife Judy, Tim Shepard Sr. and wife Brenda.
