<p>With sadness we announce the passing of Carol at Grandview Lodge on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the age of 89. She was born November 12, 1934 and was predeceased by her parents Aileen &amp; Gilbert Fathers. Carol has joined her beloved husband Gordon (predeceased 2006). She will be greatly missed by Marianne &amp; Jerry Tinney and their family; as well as her several other cousins and friends. Carol was a member and former pianist at South Cayuga Baptist Church. She also spent many years volunteering at Dunnville Hospital.. Carol struggled with health issues for several years but remained in her home until a year ago and since then has been cared for by the wonderful, caring staff at Grandview Lodge. Thank you to the great caregivers in Marshview Unit (those special ones - you know who you are). </p><p>Cremation has taken place and a Service of Remembrance will be held at South Cayuga Baptist Church (3475 Haldimand Rd 20) on Thursday, April 4 at 11 am. In memory of Carol, donations to Dunnville Hospital &amp; Healthcare Foundation, Grandview Lodge Residents Council or South Cayuga Baptist Church would be appreciated by her family. Arrangements entrusted to Ballard Minor Funeral Home, Dunnville, Ontario (905-774-7277). Friends are invited to send condolences and sign the Book of Memories at www.ballardminorfh.ca.</p>
