Bowman “Bro” Jackson, III, 74, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024, in Macon, GA. The services celebrating his life will e held on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel and Crematory with Pastor Gary Lucas officiating the services. The family will be having a meet and greet one hour prior to the services at 11:00 am.


Mr. Bowman was born on June 6, 1949, in Houston County to the late Bowman Jackson, II and Freddie Mae (Johnson) Jackson. He was a graduate of Perry High School. He loved his family and enjoyed living life. Bro loved his family and will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bowman, (Bro) was preceded in death by his siblings, Elnora and Arthur (Ray) Jackson and three kids: Michelle, Zurianna, and Bowman IV.


Left to cherish his memory is his beloved children: Genertrice Freeman (Robbie), Ayoka Jackson, Yoshika Askew (Step-daughter) and son-in-law, Frankie Brown. Nine Grandchildren and Three step grandchildren, eight great grandchildren. Brothers and sisters Mark (Vera) Jackson, Mary (Randy) Johnson, Robert (Ethel) Jackson, Freeman (Connie) Jackson, Roy Jackson, Beverly Jackson, Henry Jackson, Ricky Jackson, Brenda Jackson, and Harry (Keisha) Jackson; Aunties and uncles: Betty (Willie) Nottingham, Edna Mae Ezell, and Walter Alford; and a devoted friend Willie Grant and Frank Lane, Sr. and a host of devoted nieces and nephews. Companion preceded him in death, Rita Haslem.
