Obituary

Wednesday January 19, 1944 – Wednesday March 20, 2024

In loving memory of Stewart Crick who peacefully passed away at home surrounded by loving family, at the age of 80. Stewart bravely battled Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis for many years. Those who knew him will remember his stubbornness and determination which he used to “fight” until his last breath on Wednesday March 20, 2024.

He is survived by best friend and partner of 30 years Karen Evershed and their dog Quiggli; his children Darren and Melanie; his grandchildren Kristal (Chris Alston) and Lance; as well as his great grandchildren Ben, Eric, and Kylee. Stewart is predeceased by wife Sydney (Vale) and his mother Clair Bragg (Crick).

Stewart’s lifelong dream was to drive a gravel truck, which he did for many years. He enjoyed hauling gravel, working with the backhoe, and ploughing snow. He kept his eye on the weather and was always eager to get out ploughing even when his health made it impossible. He was never one to have idle hands and was always busy working on something. He had a sweet tooth, especially for Leinala’s Bakery, and always enjoyed a good restaurant meal. When his health allowed it, he enjoyed outings to Tim Hortons for a coffee, a burger from A & W, and occasionally to the casino.

Special thank you to Dr. C Clendening, Karen Aniol (Nurse Practitioner), Tasha(Nurse), Julie & Shelley (Bayshore home support, Lousie Scott (friend and neighbour) and everyone who supported us through the last stages of his journey.

At Stewarts request there will be no visitation or services. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Maison McCulloch Hospice.

Now, Forever, Always in our hearts.
