Delores "Lola" Peplinski Prescott Obituary

Delores "Lola" Peplinski

<p>Delores (Lola) Peplinski passed away peacefully at the age of 92 with family at her bedside. Lola was born on March 11, 1932 to August and Maria Rickert in Peck Michigan. She enjoyed 60 years of marriage with her husband Ervin, raising seven children. Her family was the pride and joy of her life. Young and old had many hours of fun playing cards, working on puzzles, or just dancing to her favorite polka or big band tune. Lola was passionate about serving others through her participation in local groups including the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, Houghton Lake Senior Center, Red Hats Society and Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church just to name a few. She enjoyed animals (Kiki in particular), reading mysteries and her Bible. Always up for an adventure, she traveled to Vegas every year with Ervin, attended senior citizens casino trips and went parasailing at the age of 82. Those who were blessed to know Lola, knew what a special light she was. She was always quick to give a hug or a kind word to people everywhere she went, and even as she was being helped in the later years, she would offer her help to others. Lola’s friendly spirit, sparkling blue eyes and warm smile would light any room or situation. The family is forever grateful to our friends at Hillman’s Haven and Compassus Hospice for the heartfelt care they gave our Mom.
