Karen Adlam passed away peacefully with her loving husband by her side at Brightshores Health System in Owen Sound on March 21, 2024. Born in Brampton on July 10, 1951, Karen Elizabeth Adlam (nee Gilchrist) was in her 73rd year.

Beloved wife for 40 years of Wilford Adlam of Owen Sound. Loving mother of Jason Adlam and his wife Louise, and cherished grandmother of Connor Adlam (Megan) and Walker Adlam (Dea-Vonnie Stewart), all of Orlando, Florida. Also loved by her niece Kim Rankin (Paul) and their children Jillian and Eric (Madylin), and by her niece Kelly Theriault (Mike) and their children Ella, Matthew and Kyle.

Predeceased by her parents Charles and Jeanne Gilchrist, in-laws Wilford and Leotta Adlam, sister Pat Budd (Larry), brother-in-law Rae Adlam, and by her sister-in-law Doreen Schnurr.

Karen’s warm personality and zest for life extended to her passions including music, traveling, clothes and fashion, but above all else it was her family that she adored the most.

She spent 30 years working as an Office Manager for the Peel District School Board and will be dearly missed by her former colleagues, friends, neighbours and family.

Visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 – 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 11 a.m. until the time of her funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Owen Sound.
