<p>Marian Horn, 81, of Franklin passed away on March 23, 2024 at the Caring Place following a lengthy illness.</p><p><br></p><p>Born on July 13, 1942 at home in Oil Creek Twp, Titusville, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Ethel (Gilson) Johnson.</p><p><br></p><p>Marian was a 1961 graduate of Titusville Area High School.</p><p><br></p><p>On November 3, 1962 at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Titusville, she married the love of her life, Ellwood Horn. Together they shared 61 years of marriage. </p><p><br></p><p>She was a member of the Oakland United Methodist Church and was a member of the Women's Society.</p><p><br></p><p>She was a hard worker and never slowed down. Although she was busy cooking, cleaning and caring for her family, she would often be found at the store looking through the magazines just for fun. She loved to babysit her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren and was a kind mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. When Marian was able, she enjoyed to sew.</p><p><br></p><p>Left to cherish Marian's memory is her loving husband, Ellwood of Franklin; her children Kimberly Frey and her husband, Timothy, of St. Marys, Krista Horn of Akron, OH, and Karl Horn and his wife, Jennifer, of Cooperstown; her 13 grandchildren and her numerous great-grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Horn, an infant son, and her parents-in-law, Ruth and Warren Horn.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends and family are invited to the Gardinier-Warren Funeral Home, 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral services for Marian will be held at the Oakland United Methodist Church, 1431 State Route 428, Oil City, PA on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 11:00 am with Pastor Robert Klingler officiating.</p><p><br></p><p>Marian will be laid to rest next to her son, Kevin, at Lamey Cemetery, Oil City.</p><p><br></p><p>The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marian's name to the Oakland United Methodist Church,1431 State Route 428, Oil City, PA 16301 and/or the Venango V.N.A. Marian Horn, 81, of Franklin passed away on March 23, 2024 at the Caring Place following a lengthy illness.
