Janice (Welch) McCabe Orben, of Somerville, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2024 with loved ones by her side. She was 78.

Loving mother of John McCabe, Richard McCabe, Daron McCabe, the late Paul McCabe, and Scott McCabe. Cherished Nana of Erica Tremblay and her husband Devin, Kadie McCabe, Michele Anderson and her husband Paul, Sean McCabe, Joseph McCabe, the late Aaron Cosgro, Tiffany McCabe, Nicholas McCabe, Jonathan McCabe, Michelle Barowski, Michael Barowski, Kayleigh McCabe, and Alana McCabe.

Survived by her sister Elaine Walsh and brothers Ron Welch, Raymond Welch, and Michael Welch. Predeceased by her mother Loretta D’Arcangelo and brother James Welch. Also survived by her dear, lifelong friend Helen O’Connell Sawicki, many nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, March 30th, 2024 at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., ARLINGTON from 12-2 pm. Interment private.
