Brenda D. Ray, 76, wife of thirty-six years to James "Bill" Ray, died Friday, March 22, 2024 at her residence. Born July 14, 1947 in Jessamine County, she was the daughter of the late Harvey D. and Juanita Carter Duncan. She was a retired Nurse, a member of Shawnee Run Baptist Church, and enjoyed reading, playing computer games, watching The GameShow Network, and loving on her two cats Tink and Tippy.

Survivors other than her husband include two daughters: Tammy (Eddie) Jenkins of Burgin and Crystal (James) Crawford of Flint, MI.; one brother Donald L. (Kathy) Duncan of Harrodsburg, two sisters: Pat (Ronnie) Short of Junction City and Sherri (Greg) Humpert of Stanford; five grandchildren: Justin (Kati) Jenkins, Mandy (Mason) Moss, Adam Crawford, G. Joe (Kit) Crawford, and W. Donald Crawford; four great grandchildren: Eli Jenkins, Callie Jo Watkins, Zander Crawford, and Jessi Williams; and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

No services are planned at this time. Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home & Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
