Ann Elizabeth Kimball Obituary

Ann Waldron Kimball, 95 years, of 155 School Street, died Thursday, March 21, 2024, in North Berwick after a lengthy illness.

Ann was born in Berwick, Maine on June 25, 1928, a daughter of Clarence and Ethel (Day) Waldron. She lived her entire life in the house her grandfather built in 1875. Ann was the widow of Willard ‘Bill’ Kimball who died in 1992. She was a member of the Berwick United Methodist Church and started singing in the choir at the age of 12. Music was a big part of her life. In addition to the church choir, she sang in the General Electric Glee Club, South Berwick Community Chorus, and the Seacoast Community Chorus.

Ann had a great love of nature and was an avid bird watcher. She and her husband, Bill, traveled through much of the United States birding, for eight years before his death. To carry on their love of birding, Ann traveled to Scotland, South and Central America, and Newfoundland.

She worked for New England Telephone, and later for School Administration District #60, retiring in 1997. Ann volunteered at the Berwick Public Library and for the Berwick Historical Society.

In addition to her husband, Bill, Ann was predeceased by her daughter, Natalie Randall, and by her two brothers, Clarence (Wally) Waldron and Edwin (Ted) Waldron.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Elizabeth Vinson; her grandson, Allan Randall; her granddaughters, Katherine Vinson and Alicia Randall; and a great-granddaughter, Athena Jane Lindgren. Ann is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery, 55 Cemetery Road, Berwick, ME.

Donations in Ann’s memory may be made to the United Methodist Church, 37 School Street, Berwick, ME 03901, or to a charity of one’s choice.
