Cynthia "Crissy" R. Renzy Obituary

Cynthia “Crissy” Roxann Cain Renzy, 66, of Stephens City, VA passed away Saturday March 23, 2024, at her residence.

Crissy was born in Winchester, VA on February 16, 1958, at Winchester Hospital, a daughter of the late Alma L. Kane and the late James Bryant of Stephens City, VA.  She spent much of her career in Restaurant Management, working 25 years for the Nerangis family at McDonald’s restaurant in Stephens City, and over 12 years managing Stephens City’s Arby’s restaurant.  Crissy was a loyal employee who rarely missed a day of work during her entire career.  She was a dedicated mother who lived for her children.  Hard working, loving, and selfless, Crissy was a generous provider who worked to ensure that her children had the best possible life.  She had so much love that her children’s friends considered her a second mother.  Crissy was a faithful believer in the Creator, and she also believed strongly in the power of “Karma”.  She will be remembered dearly by her no-nonsense honest demeanor, her quick and witty responses in any conversation, and her lifelong dedication and honor to her family and close friends.  In addition to her parents, Crissy was preceded in death by her lifelong partner and husband, Rutherford Renzy Jr., a brother Roger Cain, Sr., and a son-in-law John Shrum.

Crissy sincerely adored her four daughters Cynthia Kane Shrum of Woodstock, VA, Tedessii Kane Reed (Tosha) of Stephens City, VA, Meeka Kane of Palm Beach FL, and Kizzy Kane (Sheldon) of Winchester, VA.  Crissy was blessed with 11 grandchildren, whom she cherished and took great pride in with all her heart.  She leaves behind her sister, Dana Robinson of Winchester, VA, two brothers, Larry Cain Sr. (Jackie) and Gregory Cain Sr. (Karen), both of Middletown, VA.  Crissy was greatly loved by her nieces, great nieces, nephews, and great nephews.  She also fondly loved Dejohn Newman and Fred Rowe whom she treated both like her own sons.  Crissy also leaves behind her two beloved best friends, Kristin A. Brown of Ayden, NC and Donna Rodriquez of Winchester, VA.

A homegoing and life celebration for Crissy will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Stover Funeral Home and Crematory, Strasburg, VA with Rev. Alvin Walker officiating.  Crissy will be laid to rest privately.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m.
