Fredesvinda Martinez, 88, passed away at home on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Francisco Martinez and Ezequiela Rosa. She worked as a security officer at Caesar's Casino in Atlantic City until her retirement in 1987. She was devoted to her family and was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Left to cherish her memory are son, Bernardo Figueroa of St. Thomas; daughters: Migdalia Lastres of Boston, MA, Elizabeth Henshaw of Crossville, TN, Jocelyn Rodriguez of Reading, Maryann Diaz of Philadelphia, and Irene Eubanks of Toms River, NJ; brothers: Ramon Martinez, Jorge Quiles, Edward Ruiz and Pasquale Martinez; sisters, Mary Ruiz and Gloria Martinez; 33 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sons, Peter and George Torres; brothers, Robinson and Domingo Ruiz, and sister, Angela Ruiz.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 11:00 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19611. The family will receive friends and relatives from 9:30 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Sinking Spring.
