Henry Bryant

Henry Bryant, Jr. aka "Bubba" was born on April 21, 1938 in Ellabell, Ga. to the late Henry Bryant, Sr. and Maggie Stringfield-Bryant. Henry had been a resident of Wayne County since the early 1950's and acquired the nickname of "BUBBA". He was employed as a Foreman with Seaboard and also worked for many years with Railroad Construction Team. Bubba was an entrepreneur, as he was the owner and operator of a Truck Wash in Baldwin, Florida for over (25) years.

Henry passed away on March 19, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by both parents, Henry Sr. and Maggie Bryant; a daughter, Elizabeth "Star" Bryant; a grandson, Dominique Jernigan; his sisters, Ermie and Toby Stringfield, Clara (John) Byrd, Mary (Matthew) Guyton and Idella (Earnest) Baker; a son in-law, Charles R. Riley; a sister-in-law, Eva Pearl Jones and three brothers-in-law, James Pickett, Charles Pickett and David Pickett.

Henry is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 plus years, Doris Pickett-Bryant; his daughters, Bertha L. Bryant, Catherine Bryant, Jackie Robinson and Jessica (John) Beesley; his sons, Andrew L. Bryant, Terry A. Bryant and William T. Wilkins; a sister-in-law, Janie Lou Pickett; (18) grandchildren; (32) great grandchildren; (3) great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A special friend that was like a brother, John Phillips and a niece that was like a daughter, Debra Pickett. "Bubba" as he was affectionately known, will always be remembered as a gentle giant who will be sorely missed.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine Street, Jesup, Ga. 31545 from 5-7 pm.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 @ 11:00 am at Greater Morris Chapel Baptist Church, 362 North 3rd Street, Jesup, Ga. 31545.

Interment in Sunset Oaks Memorial Cemetery, Jesup, Ga.
