Judy Whitmore Obituary

Judy L. Whitmore, 77, of Ottumwa, died at 3:42 p.m. March 21, 2024 at Good Samaritan Society – Ottumwa.

She was born August 30, 1946 in Ottumwa to John and Marguerite Gray Pfaff. She married Larry Edward Whitmore in 1964 and they later divorced.

A 1964 graduate of Ottumwa High School, she had worked at K-Mart as a department manager, retiring in 2005.

Judy loved spending time with her grandchildren and family, shopping at thrift stores, Christian and country music, going out to eat with friends and family and just getting out of the house.

She had attended First Pentecostal Assembly of God where she had a strong faith in the Lord.

Surviving are her three children, Clinton Lee (Kim) Whitmore of Ottumwa, Jeffrey Kyle Whitmore of Ottumwa and Kari Lynn Loveall of Ottumwa; five grandchildren, Morgan Whitmore, Tanner Whitmore, Brittany Uriarte, Jeffrey Whitmore and Avery Schippers; eight great grandchildren; and a brother, John Pfaff of the Philippines; and her dog, Vader.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jack Pfaff; and a sister, Jerry Livingston.

Visitation will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 24th at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Pentecostal Assembly of God in Ottumwa with Pastor Richard Schlotter officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

Memorials may be made to the family.
