Edward D. Gravel, 81, of Whipple Rd., Pascoag, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at home with his family by his side. He was the husband of Diane R. (Ethier) Gravel, whom he was married to for 45 years. Born in Blackstone, MA he was the son of the late Alfred & Lea (Hebert) Gravel.

Edward worked at the state prison in Norfolk, MA for many years in the Maintenance Department. He served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Besides his wife Diane, he is survived by sons: David J. Gravel of West Warwick, Matthew J. Gravel of Canada and Christopher J. Gravel of Pascoag; a sister, Estelle M. Langlois of Harrisville and 5 grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Robert A. and Armand D. Gravel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 1, 2024 at 10 AM in St. Theresa’s Church, 35 Dion Dr., Nasonville. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, 261 W. Wrentham Rd., Cumberland. Calling hours are omitted. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave., Pascoag.
