William T. Johnson, Jr., 83 of Neshannock Township passed away the evening of March 21, 2024 at The Grove in New Wilmington.

Born in Youngstown, Ohio on October 22, 1940 Bill was the son of the late William T. and Lucille Frondorf Johnson.

On October 16, 1999 Bill married his beloved wife, the former Shirley Beard. She preceded him in death on November 22, 2019.

Bill had retired from General Electric, where he had been a Foreman in the lamp plant.

Bill served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler Fan. Bill was a long time Blood Donor and had earned his 30 gallon donors pin. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, going hunting and fishing. A loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather Bill’s greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.

Bill is survived by his children, Maureen Dierfield, Sharlene Warner (Frank), William T. Johnson, III (Laura), Shawn Johnson (Joanne), Brenda Breetz (Willie), Brian Johnson (Carey), step-daughter, Stephanie Bell (Dan) and step-son, Chris Meier, eighteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Colangelo and great-granddaughter, Aribella Ritter.

Visitation will be on Friday 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road. A Memorial Service will follow on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Richard Nero will officiate.
