Joseph Edward O'Dea

Joseph E. O’Dea, age 66, of Mays Landing, NJ passed away peacefully on March 21, 2024 surrounded by his family. Born in Philadelphia in 1957, Joe was the son of the late Joseph and Florence (O’Connor) O’Dea and beloved husband to Beverley (Mizzau) for 42 years. He grew up in Ridley Park, PA and attended St. Madeline’s Elementary and graduated from St. James High School in Chester, PA. He worked in the automotive business for 42 years. He was a devoted Father and Grandfather to his daughters, Jennifer (Carlos) Ogando and Mary O’Dea and granddaughter Natalie Ogando. Survived by sister Maureen O’Dea and many nieces and nephews. He loved spending time with his family and relaxing on the beach in Sea Isle. Joe was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and enjoyed watching the Flyers, Phillies, 76ers and his favorite team the Eagles win a Superbowl. Mass cards would be appreciated.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 5th from 9:15am until the time of Mass at 10am at St. Joseph's Church, 606 Shore Road, Somers Point, New Jersey 08244.
