<p>Elizabeth Ann (Lisa) Forster-Beach (87), of Stowe VT, passed away peacefully Monday, March 11, 2024. She was surrounded by family and friends at The Manor in Morrisville VT. Lisa was born February 3rd, 1937, in Ypsilanti Michigan, the daughter of Earl and Mildred Bruce. Lisa is predeceased by her second husband David Easton Beach. Lisa is survived by; (first Husband) Donald M Forster of Rochester NY (brother) Robert Bruce of Chester Springs Pennsylvania, Her (3 Children and families) Susan and Jack DiMartino of Rochester New York, Kenneth and Sue Forster of Broomfield Colorado, Alan, and Carolyn Forster of Round Rock Texas, (7 Grandchildren) Jessica, Michael, Abby, Emily, Zach, Kiri, and Ellie. (Stepchildren) Elizabeth and Jeff Wade of Westport Point Massachusetts, Tom Beach and Jeff Masek of Richmond Virginia, Sally Herreid of Providence Rhode Island. Diana Beach Batarseh of Franklin Tennessee. Step Grandchildren Cory, Brandon, Tyler, Reid, Emeline, Margo, Isi and Lina. (Friend and Dance partner) Robert Bartlett of Wells River Vermont, Thousands of students she taught to paint! </p><p>Lisa Forster-Beach was an award-winning art teacher and artist. She was widely recognized for her drawings and watercolor paintings. She was awarded signature membership in the National Watercolor Society in 1986. Her background includes a MFA in Painting from Rochester Institute of Technology and a B.S. Degree in Art Education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She is acclaimed for her teaching, which included watercolor workshops internationally and regionally, art museum classes, college courses, public school art, Elderhostel, and classes in her Stowe Hollow Studio. A resident of Stowe VT since 1986, Lisa was active in the Stowe community, she was a revered instructor at the Stowe Ski School for over 20 years, and ambassador at the Stowe Mountain Resort. An avid hiker, kayaker, cross-country skier, Tennis player that did yoga to relax. </p><p>Lisa’s Celebration of life will take place in Stowe VT over 3 day May 24-26 Memorial Day weekend.
