<p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Hershel Scott, 92, of Thorsby, Alabama passed away March 21, 2024, at Residence in Thorsby, Alabama.</p><p><br></p><p>He was born January 19, 1932, in Alabama, son of the late J.C. Scott and the late Myrtle Childress Scott.</p><p><br></p><p>He was a Logger. He loved his family, God, and church. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and bird hunting. He loved spending the holidays with his family and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He held many positions in the church such as deacon, choir, youth, and Sunday School director. He will be missed by his family and friends. </p><p><br></p><p>Surviving are his Wife, Sarah C Scott; Daughter, Jayne (Rex) Littleton; Sons, Glenn (Ann) Scott, Roger (Kim) Scott, Terry (Angie) Scott; Grandchildren, Heath, Nicole, Suzy, Josh, Heather, Natalie ,Tyler, Ryan; 13 Great-Grandchildren; Sister, Barbara Acuff; Special friends, Mark (Regena and Kacie) Adams.</p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death by his Father, J.C. Scott; Mother, Myrtle Childress Scott; Sister, Gladys Franklin. </p><p><br></p><p>Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church #1. </p><p><br></p><p>Services will be held Friday, March 29, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Mt Carmel Baptist Church #1 with Rev. Michael Goode, Rev. William Short, Chaplain Paul Foreman officiating.</p><p><br></p><p>Interment will follow in Mt.
