<p>Vera Moreton </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>CHARLESTON – Vera Irene Moreton, 90, of Charleston, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024 at home, with her family by her side. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>Her graveside funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston.&nbsp; Arrangements: Harper-Swickard. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>Vera was born April 24, 1933 at Charleston, daughter of Herman and Bertha (Glasener) Burris.&nbsp; She married Marion Lewis Moreton, December 10, 1950.&nbsp; He passed away January 11, 2002.&nbsp; She is survived by their children, Michael Moreton of Ashmore, Joseph (Shirley) Moreton of Spring Hill, FL, and Dianne (Butch) Ellington of Elba, AL; first cousin, George Glasener of Mattoon; grandchildren: </p><p>Michelle (Brent) Young of Westfield, Jason Moreton of Edwardsville, IL, Amy Moreton of Sheboygan, WI, Raynel (Kent) Shipley of Charleston, Samantha (Mike) Cook of Charleston, and Dylan Moreton (Brooklyn Price) of Oakland; great-grandchildren: Andrew Young, Mauve Fitzgerald, Clayton Young, Alexandra Moreton, Anthony J. Moreton, Skylar Rue, Rivar Vavra, Jonah Cook, Addyson Cook, Kenzley Moreton, Paizley Moreton, Salina, Bruno, and Roman; and a great-niece, Catherine Veach.&nbsp; She was also preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>Vera retired from the Mattoon Garment Factory.&nbsp; She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.&nbsp; Vera enjoyed spending time with her family, and they feel they had the best Mom EVER! </p>
