Carl Wesley Stone Obituary

Carl Wesley Stone

7/7/1956 – 3/22/2024

On Friday, March 22, 2024, Carl Stone, loving father and brother, passed away peacefully. Born to the late Wesley John "Jack" Stone and Judy (Gerben) Stone on July 7, 1956, in Pittsburgh, PA. He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Hall (Harold); three grandchildren, (Claire, Emily, Audrey); ex-wife, while both went on to remarry, (Deborah Sterba) remained in close touch throughout their lives; his loving siblings, (the late Chris Stone, wife Liana survives), John Stone (Susan), Patricia McKay (Timothy) and Richard Stone (the late Barbara); and his long-time companion, Sandra Stone. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Carl was a dedicated and diligent business owner of Ace Amusements. He started Ace from the ground up and always loved the idea of amusements, from the time he was a young man, running carnivals in his back yard, to buying his first pinball machine and taking off from there. He nurtured the business his whole life and truly put everything into it. He was always making new deals and looking for opportunities to expand and grow. He and his nephew, Jeff Stone, and his sister, Patricia have worked hard to maintain and support Ace over the years.

Carl loved the sun and to travel to Aruba, his favorite place, with his family and friends. He loved the Pirates and the Steelers. He never missed a Pirate home opener with his best friend Bob Randall and was at every Steeler game he could get to for many years.

Carl will be extremely missed by his family. His great sense of humor, generosity and support of his family and friends will live on in the spirt of his family for years to come. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUER. Family and friends welcome Monday, April 1, 2024, from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at 2828 Washington Road, McMurray PA 15317. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 2nd at 10:00AM at St. Michael of the Archangel Parish, St. Bernard’s Church in Mt. Lebanon.
