John Beaulieu Obituary

John Anderson “Jack” Beaulieu, 96, of Spring Lake, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday March 21, 2024, at Sunnyside Manor Assisted Living, Wall, NJ. Jack was born and raised in the Tottenville section of Staten Island, NY. He was a graduate of Tottenville High School. After high school he enlisted in the US Navy and served during World War II. After his military service Jack began his 33-year career as a fireman for the FDNY, working mostly in Manhattan. He retired in 1989 as a Battalion Chief. Jack was an avid golfer. He was also very handy and was often seen helping friends and neighbors with various projects at their homes. Jack was a communicant of St Catharine Church, Spring Lake where he was a lector for many years.


Jack was predeceased by his beloved wife of 57 years Marylou (nee Burns) Beaulieu in 2017, his parents Francois and Eva Beaulieu, and his only sister Joan Burrill in 2002. He is survived by his loving children Christine Burns and her husband Stephen of Spring Lake, NJ, Eileen Mahoney and her husband Kevin of Little Silver, NJ, MaryClare Malady of Haddonfield, NJ, and Matthew Beaulieu and his wife Lisa of Tinton Falls, NJ. Jack was the cherished grandfather of Dylan McBride (Katherine), Stephen Burns, Thomas Burns, Jack Malady Caroline Burns, Katherine Burns, Conor Malady, Gavin Mahoney, Aidan Malady, Declan Mahoney, and great granddaughter Georgia McBride.


Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday April 1, 2024, from 4-8 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ 08736. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am on Tuesday April 2, 2024, at St Catharine Church 215 Essex Avenue Spring Lake NJ 07762.
