Obituary

Courtney Leigh Ferrari 4/17/1993 - 3/14/2024

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Courtney Leigh Ferrari, who left us far too soon at the tender age of 30.

Courtney’s presence was warm & gentle. Often presenting as reserved, her stillness bellied a depth of kindness and a heart overflowing with love felt by all who knew her. She embraced her roles with grace and sincerity, as a granddaughter, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, friend, and soon-to-be mother.

Courtney’s life was a testament to her gentle spirit and profound love for others. Her anticipation of motherhood was palpable, she eagerly awaited the arrival of her sweet baby boy Michael, a dream she had cherished for as long as we can remember.

We find solace in knowing that she is now reunited with her mother, Donna Lee Ferrari, who preceded her in death. She leaves behind her siblings Michael, Star, Amelia, Nicole, Joseph, Francis, Amber, her Dad Darrell Hammond, his wife Susan, step sister Cassie Socha and step brother Marc Hammond and her two beloved cats, Jiji and Boba.

Courtney had a special affinity for the innocent souls of this world—animals and children held a special place in her heart. She touched the lives of the many children she babysat and animals who crossed her path. A gifted artist and writer, Courtney’s creativity knew no bounds. Her works were an extension of her—multidimensional and brimming with emotion. She leaves behind physical sentiments for all who were fortunate enough to experience her work.

In honoring Courtney’s memory, let us strive to emulate her kindness, her gentleness, and her unwavering love for all beings. May her spirit find eternal peace and may her warmth continue to comfort those she loved.
