<p>Mr. Rickie Nelson Bostic, age 65 of Bee, Virginia, passed away Tuesday (March 19, 2024) in Vansant, Virginia. Born November 26, 1958 in Buchanan County, Virginia, he was a son of the late Raymond and Stella Ann Shortridge Bostic. A lifelong resident of the southwest Virginia area, he was a member of Duty Pentecostal Church. He was a disabled coal miner, having been employed at Consolidated Coal and was a member of the UMWA. </p><p>In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Gene Robert Bostic, granddaughter, Kaley Runyon, and grandson, Christian Runyon.</p><p>Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Brenda Childress Bostic; two children, Misty Presley and friend, Toby, and Hurshel Bostic and wife, Lisa; grandson, Bradyn Bostic; two siblings, Mary Barton and husband, Raymond and Hadley Bostic and wife, Kathy; several nieces and nephews survive.</p><p>The family would like to extend a special thank you to MSA Home Health and Hospice for the love and care they provided.</p><p>Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. James Tiller officiating. UMWA honors will be conducted by Sub 28 Chaplain Corp. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday in the Bostic Cemetery at Bee, Virginia. Those wishing to attend are asked to assemble at the cemetery.</p><p>Pallbearers will be Doug Barton, Scottie Barton, Adam Barton, Toby Derbyshire, Will Maynard, and Larry Deel.</p><p>Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Duty Pentecostal Church.</p><p>The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6 PM Friday.</p><p><br></p>
