Francis Girard Gilligan, 65, of Manahawkin, Ocean County, passed peacefully Tuesday, March 19th 2024 surrounded by family and loved ones at Our Lady of Lourdes, Camden.

Known as Frankie, he was born on January 7th, 1959, in Jersey City, N.J., the eldest of 4 children to the late William J. and Mildred P. Gilligan. Frankie graduated from Middletown High School North. He was employed by ReMax Elite of Monmouth Beach as a distinguished sales representative for close to 40 years. He was a member of the Beach Haven Moose Lodge 1575 in Stafford Township. He was an avid foodie and always sought out the best when it came to restaurants. He enjoyed scuba diving in the Caribbean, hiking trips, visits to Atlantic City, the Jets and his pets Jinx and Gia.

Frankie is survived by his companion of 7 years Patricia Zegarski of Manahawkin, sister Mary Arvanitis, Brother-in-Law Sam Arvanitis, sister Diane Curd, Brother-in-Law Howard Curd, brother Billy Gilligan, nephews Howard Curd and Cyril Arvanitis and his niece Jillian Curd.

Frank was a loving and caring brother who was always there for his siblings whenever they needed him. He had a great sense of humor and always knew how to put a smile on everyone’s face. Frank touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
