<p>Colette Elisabeth Patterson (nee Pommier), a resident of Warren and formerly of Taylor, Michigan and Bradenton, Florida, passed away peacefully in her home. She was 93 years old.</p><p><br></p><p>Colette was born in Beddes, France on August 30, 1930 to Luc and Marie Louise (nee Maugarny) Pommier. While working at an air base in her native France, she met an airman who would become her soon-to-be husband, William Patterson. After emigrating to the United States, the happy couple was united in Holy matrimony on November 30, 1957 at St. Stephan Catholic Church in Cleveland, Ohio. Their union was blessed with one daughter, Laura, whom they both loved and cherished. The family made their first home in Cleveland before later moving to Taylor, Michigan. Colette worked for many years at Winkleman’s Department Store for many years before retiring in 1990. After retirement, Colette and Bill moved to Bradenton, Florida to enjoy their retirement until moving back to Michigan in 2018. Colette enjoyed drawing, painting, playing cards, and knitting, creating many items for family and friends to cherish over the years. While living in Florida, Colette was an active member of the choir and garden club of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish in Sarasota. Colette was a devout Catholic who made sure to raise her family in a loving, Christian home. Family was everything to her and she enjoyed every moment spent with them. Colette was a woman of faith and found comfort in her Catholic faith during times of both joy and difficulty throughout her life. Above everything, Colette enjoyed every moment of being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Her smile and kindness will truly be missed by all who knew her, but memories of her will continue on in all who loved her.</p><p><br></p><p>Colette is survived by her devoted husband Bill Patterson; cherished daughter Laura (James) Pachla; loving grandchildren James, Sabrina, and Samantha; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Maurice Pommier.</p><p><br></p><p>A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Faustina Catholic Church in Warren on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 10:30am with a memorial gathering beginning at 10am.
