Jack J. Straight, 65, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born December 13, 1958, in Glens Falls he was the son of the late Donald Sr. and Patricia (Drake) Black.

He attended Glens Falls High School.

In 1978, Jack married Lynn Bennett at the Hudson Falls Baptist Church.

Jack was the owner and operator of Straights Septic and Excavating for 15 plus years.

He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and being at his hunting camp with his friends.

In addition to his parents, Jack was predeceased by his niece, Megan Cassell; nephew, Joshua Urbonowicz.

Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 46 years, Lynn Straight; children, Matthew Bennett (Khat), Thomas Clark, and Jack J Straight III; siblings, Connie Havens (Mike), Jackie Urbonowicz (Mike), Donald Black Jr. (Jan), Donna Barnes, Patty Winnie (Tony), and JoAnn Black (Mike); along with 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

At Jack’s request there will be no calling hours.

Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations in Jack’s memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
