Glazier: Ronald Russell

(July 20, 1934 - March 20, 2024)

Peacefully, at Huronview Clinton on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, Ronald Russell Glazier of Goderich in his 90th year.

Beloved husband for almost 72 years of Mary (Mae) (nee Gollan). Dear father of John and Laurie Glazier of Goderich, Brenda and Randal Blair of Kingsville, MaryEllen and Dan Boel of Zurich and Ronda and Don Bogie of Goderich. Dear brother of Anita and Ron Purdon, and brother-in-law of Sharilyn Glazier, Elmer Gamache and Sharon Glazier. Bubba will be missed by 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his brothers Wayne and Gordon, and sisters Vesta DesRoches, Joyce Gamache and Pauline Gibbs. Also predeceased by parents Sarah Jean (Foster) and Russell Glazier, one granddaughter Danielle Boel and brother-in-law Rosaire DesRoches.

Ron had a long and full life, enjoying many winters in Florida and traveling to Western Canada, Alaska and Newfoundland over the years. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, and especially enjoyed his moose hunting adventures in the north.

At Ron’s request, cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date.

The family wish to thank all of the Doctors, nurses and staff at Huronview for all their amazing kindness and care.

Special thank you to Sharilyn for all her visits with Tim Bits and coffee treats. Dad loved your visits as much as Mom does!
