Chung To Wu, 83, passed away on March 18th, 2024 in Germantown, MD.

Son of Chuen Kan Wu, and Gook Yin Ting, he was born February 1st, 1941 in Shanghai, China. He moved to Hong Kong with his family in the 1960’s and worked as a mechanical engineer on cargo ships that often sailed around the world. In 1967, he married So Wan Wu and they have two children. He worked tirelessly to support his family. In 1987, the family moved to the United States, where he worked in the food industry. He retired in 2001 and during his retirement years he traveled with his wife to different parts of the world again, including China, Mexico, France, Italy, and Russia. He loved his family and his number one goal was always to ensure his children receive good education. He will be deeply missed by many whom he has met in his life.

He was preceded to heaven by his father and mother and his beloved granddaughter Kaitlyn Lee. He is survived by wife and his children: Felix Wu and his wife Eva Wu; their children: Isaac Wu and Joyce Wu; Priscilla Lee and her husband Chuck Lee; their children: Jacob Lee and Jemimah Lee, as well as two brothers and one sister, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.Chung To was a deeply beloved father, uncle, cousin, brother, and friend. His passing was sudden, but quick, just like he always hoped it would be. While we lost our most beloved dad, many have lost a friend and loved one in him. He has been a rock to many, a master at always show kindness and give good advice to others. There was so much more to him than just dad, though to us that was his greatest role - he was also a friend, a coworker and colleague, a big brother, the list goes on and on.
