Mary M. Forand, 95, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Wednesday, March 20, 2024. She was the beloved mother to her three children, John Forand of Northborough, Rosemary Donovan – Thies and her husband Richard of Oxford and Sally Lampi and her husband Eric of Westborough; doting grandmother to her three grandsons, Brian Donovan, Andrew Lampi and his wife Stephanie, and Patrick Lampi all who she loved dearly and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond C. Forand, her brother, Manuel Moitozo and her sister, Frances Mason.

Born and raised in Hudson, Mass, Mary was the daughter to Manuel and Catherine (Garcia) Moitozo. She attended St. Michael’s Elementary School and was a 1946 graduate of St. Michael’s Academy in Hudson. She was a longtime faithful parishioner of St. Bernadette Parish. Mary completed her studies at St. Vincent Hospital’s School of X-Ray Technology in 1947 and for 11 years was employed at St. Vincent Hospital as an X-Ray Technician. She then worked as an Electrocardiograph Technologist for 15 years at the Lake Ave. Fallon Clinic in Worcester, retiring in 1993. Mary enjoyed trips to the beach, working through crossword puzzles, keeping up with the latest game shows on TV and shopping trips. She found satisfaction caring for her home and enjoyed knitting and crocheting gifts for family and friends.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024, at St. Bernadette Parish, 266 Main St, Northborough with interment following in Howard St. Cemetery. At Mary’s request, there are no calling hours. Mary’s family respectfully request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be directed to St. Bernadette Parish.
