<p>Eubie Cleo “Winkie” Capley, nee Cavin, 87, of Lookout Valley passed away on Monday, March<br> 18, 2024. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grand and great grandmother. She was<br> preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Capley, Jr. and her four siblings. She was a<br> fixture of the Lookout Valley area participating in many community events. She owned and<br> operated Hairstyles by Winkie and Miami Casuals in Lookout Valley, and she helped run the<br> Mountain Manor Restaurant. Later in life, she worked at Lifecare of East Ridge providing hair<br> cutting and styling services. In fact, Lifecare used to have an annual “Winkie Day” to honor her<br> for her service. She was an avid collector and enjoyed attending estate and yard sales to look<br> for additions to her collection of art and decorative objects. She was an active member of the<br> Lookout Valley Presbyterian Church and enjoyed Bible study and fellowship at church events. In<br> her youth, she enjoyed large family gatherings on her parents’ property along the Tennessee<br> River and was known as one of the best water skiers on the river.<br> She is survived by her two sons, James Bruce “Sonny Boy” (Kristine) and Thomas Hood<br> (Beverly), grandchildren Thomas, Christa, and Cullen as well as 6 greatgrandchildren. She will be<br> missed by all including her favorite furry friend, Daphne.<br> A celebration of her life will be held at a graveside service on Monday, March 25, 2024 at the<br> Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Avenue, at 11:00 AM.&nbsp;<br> Arrangements are entrusted to Chattanooga Memorial Funeral Home </p>

Eubie Cleo “Winkie” Capley, nee Cavin, 87, of Lookout Valley passed away on Monday, March
18, 2024. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grand and great grandmother. She was
preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Capley, Jr. and her four siblings. She was a
