Obituary
On Monday, March 18, 2024, Janet Suzanne Pinard 75, of Dracut, Massachusetts passed away quietly among family and friends at her home after a long illness.
She was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on November 2, 1948, the daughter of the late Rita Janet (Garvey) and Louis Paul Pinard. After Janet graduated from Keith Hall in 1966, she went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Education at Lowell State Teachers College. Janet then studied to become a computer programmer and began a 20 plus year career in that field, working at many high-profile companies including The Bank of Bermuda during that time.
She was a lover of art and was an accomplished sketch artist, having many pencil sketches among her keepsakes. She also loved early rock and folk music especially artists like James Taylor, Tom Rush and Jackson Brown. You could often would hear “Running on Empty” blasting from her car or apartment throughout the years.
Janet is survived and deeply missed by her sister, Linda (Pinard) Baker along with her husband Kenneth of Pelham, NH and sons, Derek Baker of Nashua, NH and Tim Baker of N Haverhill, NH, her brother, Jack (John) Pinard along with his wife Dawn Theberge of Dunstable, Mass, and their son Alex Pinard of Gorham Maine. Janet also leaves behind many loving and devoted caregivers at her Seven Hills Winter Hill home including Bonnie, Stephanie, Yesenia, Jennifer, Special Priscilla, Allysia, and roommates Michael, Sue and Rae.
Friends and family may call at the Dracut Funeral Home 2159 Lakeview Avenue Dracut, Mass on 27, March 2024 from 9 am until 11 am followed by interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Tewksbury, Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to NAMI NH 85 North State Street, Concord, NH 03301.
