Steven W. Carter 75,

Of Braintree died Tuesday at the Royal of Braintree Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Braintree, after a brief illness..

Born in Norwood, he has been a resident of Braintree for the past 40 Years.

Steve was known for his skills as an Auto Mechanic which he worked at his entire life. Steve was the first one to help a friend or a stranger with their car troubles. He both enjoyed his work and the challenges it presented. And if you were his friend, you never had to ask him for help, if he sensed it he was just there for you.

He was the son of the late William Wallace Carter and the late Mary Louise ( Jones ) Carter and the father of the late Patrick Carter.

Steven is predeceased by his brothers; Richard Carter, Gregory Carter and John Carter.

Steve is survived by his devoted son William Wallace Carter and in addition he leaves his Besties, Herby Capwell of Marshfield, Mark Ridlon of Braintree, Ralph Bizokas of Braintree, Rachel ( Bailey ) Pontarelli of Walpole and his former wife Eileen ( Burke ) Bailey & Daniel R. Bailey of Walpole. He is survived by his grandsons; Andrew and Patrick Carter, In addition he leaves several Nieces & Nephews.

Private family services were held at Steven's request. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Steven's memory to the charity of your choice.
