With reverence, we honor the life of Mrs. Loudean "Gilliland" Hyde, who peacefully departed this life on March 19, 2024, at the age of 94. Born on November 29, 1929, in Alabama, Mrs. Hyde's life was a testament to her steadfast dedication to her loved ones and the community she served with grace.

Throughout her admirable career at Durr Medical, which spanned three decades, Mrs. Hyde's commitment to the medical supply business was unwavering. Her work ethic and integrity were a beacon to all who had the privilege of working with her.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted daughter, Tammy "Justice" Scott (Randy), and her son, Mark Christopher Pettit. Her spirit will live on through her beloved grandchildren, Michael Justice (Kristi) and Alisha Sloan (Ray), and her adored great-grandchildren, Liam and Marielle Justice. Mrs. Hyde's life was further enriched by the love of her many brothers and sisters. She now joins in eternal rest her parents, James and Estelle "Vinyard" Gilliland, and her late husbands, James Pettit and John Hyde.

A woman of faith, Mrs. Hyde was a dedicated member of Green's Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she found spiritual solace and fellowship. Her faith was a source of comfort and strength, guiding her through the journey of life.
